The Accreditation Department has some exciting staffing updates to share!
First, please join me in congratulating Kristen Brown on her well-deserved promotion to Manager of Operations, a role formerly known as Manager of Quality. In her new position, Kristen will continue to uphold our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality while also taking on expanded responsibilities. Additionally, due to her expertise with the eAccreditation system, she will continue to provide eAccreditation technical support.
Next, I would like to introduce you to 3 new staff members.
Meet Jerry LeClerc, Program Manager, ACOTE Support, who brings 13 years of healthcare administration experience to the Accreditation Department. Jerry graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and a Master of Health Administration and joins us from UT Southwestern Medical Center. He has a strong background in managing educational programs, ensuring accreditation, and streamlining processes. Jerry has also served in the United States Navy. When he’s not tackling new challenges in program management, you can find him at Taylor Swift concerts-he’s a huge fan and has already attended two of her ERAS shows!
Meet Shannon Donnelly, Program Manager, RAE Support, a publishing professional joining the Accreditation Department from her role at the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). In her previous position as an editorial and production assistant, she was responsible for managing the workflow of hundreds of peer-reviewed journal and magazine articles, from acceptance to proofreading. Shannon worked closely with authors and Editors in Chief to organize and batch magazine issues for both online and print publication. With experience in newswriting, content writing, and digital marketing, she brings a well-rounded skill set to AOTA. Outside of work, Shannon is currently training for her second half marathon in Jersey City, NJ!
Meet Afreen Gillani, Program Manager Assistant, who holds a Bioengineering degree from George Mason University. After graduation, she worked on vaccine development for infectious diseases at Emergent BioSolutions. Through this experience, Afreen developed a passion for project management. Outside of work, she enjoys practicing yoga, weightlifting, and tending to her growing collection of plants.
Please join us in welcoming Afreen, Shannon and Jerry to the team!
